What's Been GOING on!
Hey Everyone!
April has been a very exciting month for us. We both travelled back home to Lagos and we worked our little tushes off! Ruffles' done with Uni for now and I just had a verrrrrrrryyy long break off Uni. Most people don't know that apart from starting up our lingerie line, we'd always had other stuff that we were interested in and worked on, we've got to bring in the bacon somehow... them knickers aint gonna buy themselves!!.
Ruffles works as a freelance stylist and she's styled quite a few fashion shows here in England and she's back in Lagos now doing some more jobs. I am a part-time model and I have done a few shows here. People often get confused when I'm modelling for some other designer, whilst showing our lingerie line... well now you know.. I'm not cheating on my baby, Pink and Ruffles, only working! Anyways, we'd never really 'cracked' the Nigerian market, so decided to try our luck out last month. I did a few photoshoots and also modelled for Ruffles on one of her styling projects for a very reputable magazine and she roped in our make-up artist. Lola Maja.... the issue's out on friday!! It was great and Ruffles has been working non-stop.
I'm now back in England, as I've still got Uni and my dissertation to work on and Ruffles is still in Lagos, she's there for a couple more months.
So right now we are working on our individual projects, and building up to our annual Summer Show!! Can't wait to reveal all the new stuff, it'll be colourful, as always, with the girlie, flirtie, fun of course. Ruffles would be blogging later this week, we hope to get some images from the shoot and post them here. Thanks for all the emails and support!

*Mrs Onari Duke*Hey Guys......so sorry for the MIAness.......I have been way to busy!!!!P!nk is working on her projects for her Dissertation, and I am in Lagos working my socks off.....I work for a coutorier named Hephzibah Couture....absolutely love eet....
I have worked on the cover of a lovely Nigerian magazine called Genevieve, the may issue is sure to rock your socks off, not because Hephzibah styled the shoot, but becasue May is the PINK issue....which celebrates the Annual Pink Ball. This year the ball would be held at THE EXPO CENTRE, on the 23rd of May..........
P.S...................I am designing and styling 3 Dresses for the ball, which would also be in the May issue of Genevieve.......The magazine is out on the 15th, so you can still place your orders for the ball, just right after the issue comes out....

Ruffles: Apart from modelling what else do you enjoy doing?
Toya: Writing is my first love and I spend every spare second I have writing something or other! I have a curious fascination with documentaries. Doesn’t matter what it’s about. Lol. Recently watched a documentary about Jellyfish – it was strangely riveting!
I also enjoy eating out – If that’s even a hobby?! I think more a necessity as I can’t cook. Lol.
Ruffles: Why do you like Pink and Ruffles?
Toya: like P&R because it throws back to the 50’s pin ups of old – true iconic sex symbols like Ava Gardner, Diana Dors and Marilyn Monroe. P&R offers a different kind of sexy – one where you can still be elegant yet playful
R: What is your favourite thing about being a doll, so far?
T: The girlie and cute lingerie you get for free and also having a legitimate reason to walk around in underwear! Lol
R: What is your favourite piece in the collection so far.??
T: The electric blue corset – Fierce!!!
R:What is your single must have make up item?
T: Liquid eyeliner. My favourite is by Rimmel as the brush is very thin and easy to control. I will NOT leave my house without it on!

T: Frenchies all the way, I have a penchant for lace ones. Lol
